Goodbye Curry: Movie Script: Writer

I was asked by Corsair Entertainment to take a hand in reworking the script for this movie originally written by Director Don Shebib (Goin’ Down The Road and others.)

The movie is a broad comedy with a young wannabe movie director of Indo-Canadian background as its hero. The poor fellow becomes involved in his family’s desire to conclude an ‘arranged’ marriage with the daughter of a (rich) family visiting from India while he lands a spot as an ‘Assistant Executive Producer’ on a movie set financed by hapless gangsters.

The reworking of the script worked well enough for the movie to get an envelope from Telefilm Canada, but was then handed over to the experience hands of Shebib and John McBrearty.

Unfortunately, the film was never produced. Too bad, it was a pretty good romp.
