When the Toronto Blue Jays got into the World Series, I created a newspaper campaign that used a red and white baseball with a maple leaf on it as the mnemonic.
And when they won that first title, Bill Vronsky of Labatt got all of the Blue Jay players to sign the ball that had been used in the ad. Traditionally, a ball with the autographs of all the players goes into the Baseball of Fame, so for that year two balls went in. The traditional and this special Canadian edition.
This poster featuring the ball was given to all Labatt employees to commemorate the World Series victory.
